First off, congratulations Leonardo DiCaprio. I’m genuinely happy for you. The Revenant was phenomenal, he definitely deserves that Oscar. I would argue that he’s the best actor of his generation, and probably generation. I have yet to see one of his movies that I don’t like.

Leonardo DiCaprio in The Revenant

The primary topic of DiCaprio’s acceptance speech was his concern about climate change. “Climate change is real, and it’s happening right now. It is the most urgent threat facing our entire species, and we need to work collectively together and stop procrastinating. We need to support leaders around the world who do not speak for the big polluters, but who speak for all of humanity, for the indigenous people of the world, for the billions and billions of underprivileged people out there who would be most affected by this. For our children’s children, and for those people out there whose voices have been drowned out by the politics of greed,” he said Sunday night.

The indigenous peoples of the world are a little more affected by ISIS and other radical Islamic terrorists who are beheading them and raping their women, than the fallacy of rising sea levels. The underprivileged in third world countries aren’t poor due to the unproven theories that the earth’s temperature rises 1 degree every 10 years. Those people are starving and suffering because totalitarian leftist dictators won’t allow them the freedoms necessary to be economically productive.

If Leo truly believes that polar bears are drowning, why does he keep flying around on massive private jets and blowing carbon emissions out of Titanic sized yachts?

The acting legend also gave some of his thoughts on the upcoming Presidential election. “I feel there is a ticking clock out there. There’s a sense of urgency that we all must do something proactive about this issue,” he said. “And certainly with this upcoming election, the truth is this: If you do not believe in climate change, you do not believe in modern science or empirical truths and you will be on the wrong side of history. And we need to all join together and vote for leaders who care about the future of this civilization and the world as we know it.”

Actually Leo, you and your green scare propaganda are on the wrong side of history and science. The guy is a flat-earther. Contrary to claims made by President Obama, studies by real scientists show that Alaska is actually cooling.

If Leo truly believes that polar bears are drowning, why does he keep flying around on massive private jets and blowing carbon emissions out of Titanic sized yachts? If not for those big corporations he wouldn’t be able to turn on the lights in his Malibu and Hollywood mansions, put gasoline in his Prius or fly to his private island in Belize. Like many Hollywood A-listers he has ironically embarked on a zealous crusade against capitalism, the very economic system that’s allowed to make him tens, if not hundreds of millions of dollars.
